1150 merc starter spins continuosly

just put motor back together, had taken off carbs, all electrics and cylinder cover and now when batt cables are attached, starter starts spinning no matter what position key is in, on or off.... some how starte selenoid is getting 12 volts thruogh a short someplace... but where do i look....

check your sol. contacts and/or the ign. switch could be fesed in the start pos. does it spin if you take the yellow wire off the start sol.???
