HI every one, such a great forum here, made me like my Chrysler more...
Please excuse my English...
I live in Dubai and I buy a boat imported from US. It was used here with someone but now its not running since a year. the Engine is Chrysler 140hp with 2 fuel pumps.
The previous owner said it was running with a Motorola and ignition unit, one day was not sparking so he replaced with CDI#115-3301 But timing belt broke then he decided to sell the boat. I've done a compression test it was great but No spark.
I buy the timing belt from net, and with reading your posts I was able to do a proper timing (flywheel marks, distributor, belt).
Then with all 3 2 4 blugs grounded as Mr Frank's instructions (many many thanks to him).
No spark from 1. after a closer inspection I found a missing linkage (adjustable) between the distributor and timing column!!! and CDI wiring is strange, there is only 3 wires blue, white, and gray. there is no red!! I can fabricate the linkage for adjusting distributer, but what to do with CDI??
Love this motor, would like to hear its loudy run. HELP PLEASE
