I have been givin a 15 hp evinrude fast twin, this is a older motor. the person that gave it to me said that he thought it was a 60s yr motor or older his dad had it. had not been started for years. the motor turned over fine, pulled the plugs and put oil down the cyliders and turned it over several times. went through the carb and cleaned out the tank that was in remarkably good chape no rust.
Stuck it in a 55 galon drum started on the 3rd pull, adjusted the carb and it ran awesome from Idle up to short burst with top end. let it Idle for probably 15 minutes, water pump was pumping. shut it down and when I restarted it, it was not pumpimg water checked it several times no water.
So after all this I guess my question is I need to no the year. The serial number is 15016-10771 could not find Model number.
also is there still parts avalabile for this old of motor I'm sure the water pump Impeller is junk. Any help would be apreciated.
