15 HP Solenoid / Wiring Diagram

Hey All, New to the board and thanks in advance for any help. I have a 15 HP Merc (not sure of year, looks to be in the 1990's, but can confirm if necessary) on a pontoon boat with electric start. Had starting issues last time it was in the water and the owner bought a new solenoid that I have to install. DOes anyone have access to a wiring diagram that could show me all the connections to the solenoid? I want to make sure all connections are correct and not just go by the current connections. Its clear someone screwed with it as the solenoid housing around two of the connections looks burn up and melted.

Is there not anything screwed onto the top post? Thats the "hot" post. Both red wires should go there. Looks like they have everything going to the bottom post.

Yeah the battery is not attached so the battery terminals are not there. This is why I want the diagram so I can be sure everything is in the right spot.

RED wire from the ignition switch and the positive Battery cable go to the top post (big post, 1 of 2)

YELLOW wire from the starter goes to the Bottom post (big post, 1 of 2)

Where the solenoid bolts to the block, on the left mounting screw the Negative battery cable, and Black wire from the ignition switch mounts to the block with the same screw that holds the solinoid to the block. Also from that location, a single black wire runs to the left/top stud on the top of the solenoid.

YELLOW/RED wire from the ignition switch mounts to the Right/top stud on the top of the solenoid (this wire may either be YELLOW w/ a RED stripe, or visvera)

Hope this helps, I have the diagram but could'nt send a copy of it. I gave the instructions right off the diagram, exactly as they have it made.

Also on the red wire from the ignition switch, there should a fuse. May need to check that fuse also.
