15 hp Spark plug gap

I have a 15 hp evinrude outboard. (not sure of the year) I need to find out what the gap on the spark plugs is suppose to be set at. I don't have any of the paper work for it and it doesn't have any thing under the cover

That is a 1981 outboard, CG.

Over the years the recommended gap has changed. It has been as high as .040" and as little as .030".

The currently recommended gap is .030".
