Jay, Eska built your engine for Sears in 1973. Eska has been out of business since 1987, but parts can still be found:
Eska Resource
FYI - Eska put Techumseh engines on their lowers, so for engine parts try a mower shop.

Re: 15 hp ted williams lower unit parts

Thanks Paul
Jay, Sears is a retailer, they sell stuff. Sears doesn't build anything. Many different companies built outboards for Sears and other retailers to sell over the years. These motors were sold under the retailers private brand name/lable, i.e. Ted Williams, Elgin,Sea King and many others. This also sometimes makes it difficult to determine the original manufacture. Often if we can determine which company made the outboard we can cross reference parts or a least give some options as to where to start looking. I have absolutly no info on your motor. I am gald to hear you found some parts thru Sears. I have also found parts thru them. Parts I did not think they would have. Good luck.

i have had the pleasure of rebuilding 3 15 hp ted williams. i had to mod the shift rod seal/ boot. i used an oring in a plastic cup that i machined, and made a st steel clip that holds it in place. cats meow. the lower crank seals have been standardized and the seal housing modified to except this seal
