it want fire when turning over but when it the switch is on and the plug wire is off it starts firing when you turn it over it stops firing

Al, can you clarify? It sounds like it will fire when you crank the motor with the starter, but not when you stop cranking. Is that is?

have you changed anything out? like the switch?

no its not fireing when it turns over but it will if i hook the test light to the switch box and ground it out it will fire and if you just turn the switch on its fireing while just the switch is on

There is a test for the ign system of that motor. Go to the CDIElectronics.com website and check it out.

I am still not sure what your issue is
