I am helping a friend on his 15hp 4stroke outboard. Due to the fantastic fuel we have nowadays (sarcastic humor) lol his carb is pretty gummed up. I have pulled the carb apart and found what I had figured I would find. I have the carb soaking as we speak and my question is....as far as the air/fuel mixture is concerned ....is that adjustment screw behind the small aluminum epa cap located high on the starboard side of the carb? And if I am correct what normally is a good place to start with the intial setting?....2 turns out...1 1/2 turns out?? I know to be very careful and LIGHTLY seat the needle as damage can occur very easily due to the brass construction. Thanks to any giving advice.
I beleive the year is a 2003...I have contacted Nissan to verify this and the model # is as follows...NSF15B2 3V6-1....serial # is.....033696XC....carb number if needed is as follows 3R3G RG07
