1986 Sportcraft 22ft walkaround cuddy.
350 mercruiser w/ alpha drive
no bottom paint...spotless bottom

Current setup:
20 pitch SS no name prop
4100 max rpm trimmed out
41 mph (non gps speed)
horrible hole shot.

I need to get on plane faster and usually have 3 big fellas with me fishing. I'm not even in the operating range of the engine?

What would you suggest?

i would be looking to be running that at 4500-4600 assuming this is a 3 blade 20p ss prop youd have to go to 3x18 ss or a 4x17ss.

need to have rpms they help hole shot should'nt loose any top end, might gain

i swear by 4 blades they are all aroud just better hole shot, plane time ,lower plane speed, fuel efficiency, hold up excelent in rough waters. even gain top end in some cases

20@4100
19@4300
18@4500
17@4700

You can pick your WOT rpm range and apply it to the prop you choose. If you go to a 4 blade just drop another 100 for the 4th blade. Now if you would like total all around performance a 16p Stilletto 4 blade BayPro would wake that boat right up and probably increase your top end speed.

Dont let the 16p startle you. it will act like a aggressivley pitched 17 3blade.
