A 4-bld 19 will be like a 20P 3-bld.....not in-between what you now have.
An 18P 4-bld will give "decent" hole-shot, and "might" be faster if the prop you choose is of a high quality, and that's going to take an SS to do that.

I currently run only Aluminum props. lots of beaching the boat for the kids to play and shallow lakes. I am consatntly carrying 6-8 adults and 3-5 kids, and am pulling something (tube(s), wakeborders, etc) Wouldn't have it any other way !! My 19P doesn't have the holeshot and my 17P has me turning 3800-4000 rpms for a slalom skier at 30mph. For the heck of it I cranked the boat up w/ th 17P and couldn't reach WOT (46-4800 rpm). So I was thinking something in between the 2 props I now own. Sounds like an 18P 4 blade may be the best bet eh?
walleyehed said:If you can't reach recommended WOT with the 17P, you sure don't want an 18P 4-bld that will pull about the same as a 19P 3-bld, only slower.
What exactly IS your WOT with a normal load with the 17?
