I am preparing to crank my 175 HP Blackmaxx (1978 model) for the first time in a while. It has not been in the water in about 14 years but I did crank it last year with muffs. I want to put it back on my boat now. My question is should I replace the 6 vent lines to the cylinders from the reed assemble. I plan to replace all the fuel lines. Should I replace anything else. I have installed a new stator and trigger.

They're called bleed lines. I'd replace them, and do a quick check of the bleed check valves while you're at it.

+1 j martin, also change any rubber items on engine: fuel lines, bleed lines, fuelpumpcover o-ring,fuel pump diaphram and impeller. If your fuel did not have a storage additive in it when last ran I suggest you do a carb cleaning...my $.02
