175 merc black max outboard engine question??

I have noticed that on the side of the switchbox assembly there is water coming out of a hole, It's a good stream too. I was wondering what the name of the part is, or if anyone has a diagram of the starboard side of the engine so I can look it up. it's a 1985 - 175 merc black max outboard.

Poppet valve .........

I was told to put JB weld over the hole is that ok to do?

No. It needs attention on tha inside parts.

Ditto this.

The diaphragm has a hole and needs to be replaced, otherwise the poppet may not open, you risk serious damage to overheating.

Ok I will have it replaced and not put JB weld on it.
