17ft Center Console Invader

I need your help. I am trying to determine if I have saturated foam in my boat. It is a 17ft center console with a beam of 86 inches. The boat in the water feels extremely heavy for a 17footer but it sits well in the water. The hull ID number is MWK50629J788. I have a 1988 88hp johnson on it and am able to achieve a top speed of about 31mph at 5300rpm. Can you provide the weight of this boat? Does 31mph sound about right for 2 people that weigh a combined 550 lbs. I repaired a small leak in the keel when I purchased the boat, but assumed that there would be no foam in the center of the boat. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, This is the first time using this forum so I hope I am doing it right...
I have been looking all over for informaion on my 89 17' center console invader as well. my boat looks almost identical to yours and it is having the same issues. I just weighed it and it comes in at 2900lbs without the trailer and an 89 (I think) 115 merc.
Did you ever get any information on you boat and these issues?
Did you ever find out the correct weight?

It would be great to help each other out...

Hello again, I did find a couple of sites that state a 89 invader 17' wieghts, but there are 2 different types ( a V180, and a V182 FISH) I'm not sure which one we have (mine looks alot like yours). a V180 weighs 2190 and a V182 FISH weighs 1200 - a big difference... Do you know which one yours is?

Hi fellow 17ft center console invader owners. I just purchased this boat and have been very pleased with it. It has been very frustrating finding out information on this boat but. I don't think that mine has the saturated foam problem as the boat preforms well with a merc 90hp on it.
