I have a 1999 17-Ft V-Series Carolina Skiff with a 90HP Yama 2-Stroke on it. Runs great just want more control of the bow flopping all over when in wake or at higher speeds. The "V-series" is not much of a V at all on this boat, fully flat bottom. I have a "dolphin fin" on my motor which helps with this to a degree, but not much. I recently purchased a 10" SetBack HydroJacker Jack Plate. Probably weighs 40-50 lbs, Pump is connected through hoses so it is all not inside the Jack itself. The boat originally came with a 45 HP Yama on it. I was wondering if my 90 Yama would put too much strain on the transom with the 10" Jack plate? I also recently purchased a Polling Platform frame, just need to find a deck for it. With that being said, once I get a deck for it, I would like to also put that on my boat so it'll be bolted to the transom and onto the back deck. I am just worried if all of this will be too much weight for my transom? Keep in mind also there would be probably a 200lbs person at times on the polling platform. Has anyone ever done this to their boat? If so please share, and if you have a good valid opinion that would be beneficial please share!! Thank you
