18ft 1989 wellcraft center first purchase what do I look for

looking at a wellcraft 18ft center console for my son and i to use. this is my first time buying a boat what should i look for when inspecting it?
any idea where to get a manual

you won't need a manual for the boat.

Focus first on the condition of the motor (OB I assume) then the wiring then the trailer. If it's an 89 motor, budget to repower.

As long as there are no soft spots in the floor and the transom doesn't move, the hull should be OK.

All, assuming there are no obvious signs of serious neglect.
