Hello! I've just aquired 5 old boat motors that belonged to my uncle and late grandfather. The first one I'd like to tackle is the '53 Johnson 10HP QD-14. I've never worked on a boat motor before and I'm not finding much at all pertaining to this particular model year on the internet. I've been reading that a good start is to do the carburetor? I did remove the shroud (well half of it as the other half is blocked by a dial) and pulled out a large mouse nest already. What is the best way to procede? Where would I find a carburetor rebuild kit?
Thank you in advance!
Jake
