1954 Johnson QD-15 recoil starter

I recently got a 1954 Johnson QD-15 10hp SeaHorse from a friend and its missing the recoil starter. I cant find one anywhere. I have found a guy with a recoil starter from a Johnson QD-16. The flywheel looks identical to mine... im afraid to purchase it without knowing for sure if it will work for mine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! I ordered the part... onto the next problem. Haha. First let me tell you im not very mechanically inclined.. but after testing I noticed the water gets extremely milky and also saw that the upper gasket is leaking. Heres a picture. Is that whats causing the milkyness or is there another problem besides the upper gasket?
