How much would a 1955 10 h.p. Sea Horse be worth? It runs and is in good condition.

If you put it on a boat and go fishing with your kids, then its priceless..

otherwise, not a whole lot... check on ebay and see if there is one there and what its going for.
official price rankings don't really mean that much real world....

regards

Frank

Hello Fishbubba
A beautifully restored engine can make it up to 700 dollars and the exceptional ones go for more.
A rust box might be sold for parts and can bring between 50 and a hundred.
Yours is probably anywhere in that range.
As said above: On a boat with your kids is where the real value is.

I'm with Frankie - your motor is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Truth is, there are a lot of them out there and relatively few people seeking them out. It's all supply and demand. For every $700 motor on eBay, there are dozens of decent motors at more reasonable prices. Only the most exceptional motors bring a premium dollar, and even then you have to find that one person who REALLY wants one. I bought two similar vintage Evinrude 10s last year for $30 and between the two I was able to build a really sweet runner that didn't look too shabby either.
- Scott
