But the water tube is installed into the grommmet of the exhaust housing FIRST.----Then you install the lower unit making sure the tube goes into the pump properly !

The idles fine then speeds up and dies issue sounds like it's running out of fuel. Is the gas cap closed on the tank? Any leaks at the fuel fitting?

It's open and there's no leaks, I converted it to a one line system. Maybe my pump just isn't pumping enough?

The copper water tube is in the lower unit grommet good, and when I put the lower unit back on, it slides into the upper grommet well. Maybe there could be a clog from the upper grommet on up?

And are you sure it goes into the upper grommet !

I'm sure. I looked up into the exhaust housing and one of the ports was full of sand and dirt, and the exhaust cover on the engine gets really hot after a short while so I think there is a clog between the housing and the powerhead. I'll pull the exhaust cover off and try to run something down it and see if I can't knock the blockage out.

I believe I've got it, one of the exhaust ports that lead to the exhaust cover was very clogged, so I cleared it and hopefully it'll pump water now.
