10 bucks! Wow you guys down south get your parts much cheaper than we do! We are about 25 to 30 bucks an impeller.

yeah really!! it costs me 10 buck for gas to go pick up a $30 impeller!!

Wha!?!? You can get them right here on iboats for about that price. Is there some sort of crazy "impeller tax" to ship it to Canada? Shoot, I'll get a few and send them to y'all in the snail mail if you want.

BTW, not sure if you have NAPA auto parts up there, but if you do they carry Sierra replacement parts as well. They often have common parts like impellers, tune up kits, etc... in stock at least down here.

Is there something supposed to be in this position that goes on the shaft or is it made this way to fit multiple models?

Aftermarket impellers? No thanks, lol. Not in my motors. I have a box of almost 50 that failed on initial startup that I pulled out of guys motors. OEM only for me.

You are missing some parts Woody. THe spacer and o rings. 5, 6, and 60 here is the gearcase diagram

That's what I thought. Any ideas where I can get the spacer still? I didn't see it listed here.

Check with one of the used parts places like American outboard or an outboard salvage place close to you.

it's possible that 5,6, and 60 are still up inside the exhaust housing

I looked and they are not there. I ordered some stuff and waiting to see if its everything I will need to put it back together right.

I got all the missing parts in and installed them. Ran it in the barrel and oil looked clean when I checked it which was a first. Will hopefully be able to go try it out on the lake if the weather holds up this weekend. Thanks to all who helped out! Now to start getting my two TN-28's running! HAHA

Good luck with them! They can be a bit more finicky, but idle quite well when properly tuned. The following will help with them.

5/8 out from seated is the sweet spot for the carb low speed needle.
