OK, so I got tired of "popping wheelies" with my 140lb. 25hp Buccaneer on a 14ft. aluminum cartopper. I'm still loggin in as Da_Buccaneer! >;o)

I recently bought a 1958 Johnson Seahorse 10hp to replace the Buc and keep the bow in the water. The motor's in GREAT shape, lots of compression, shifts OK, etc. However, the throttle indicator plate is missing so I don't know where Slow, Start, Shift and Fast are. Are these plates available repro anywhere?

Re: 1958 Johnson Seahorse 10hp

Its been a long time since I ran my 56 10 hp,about 50 years, but: As I recall in neutral you can't advance the throttle much beyond the start position.Once she is running I think you can tell where the other positions are. When shifting get it as slow as possible before shifting. If you just want to try to get it to original you might try www.aomci.org for the part. You can run a want add.Someone may be doing repros but I doubt you will an original.
