There's a boat that actually sort of has the trailer built into it. The tounge somehow attaches to the bow. I remember seeing pics of it, it was some kind of aluminum utility boat. That would be an amazing toy. Even better would be an anphib. duck.

hahahah dude
what a rig.
years ago a friend of mine had one. had little crank down weels and a detachable trailer tongue, I thought it was a texas maid but now I am not sure. thats been 25 years ago anyway and maybe a sixpack of refreshing beverages.
get us some pics.
was a neat rig best I remember. had some memorable moments watching him pull on that aircooled one lunger on the back :) . we would even shout encouraging words from the bank occasionally :) .

Sooo...do you have to register it as a boat or a trailer...or both?

-JMW

Alright, now Im getting closer. I've been looking around to find a similar boat to my 58'. I've been restoring it for the past 2 years. Slow going, I live in an apartment. But It'll be done mid next month,. boat and trailer. Trailer is from 63 or 64 I think. The boat is a 58'. Trim is Red Oak if Im not mistaken, I had to clean out the dry rot, and putty in some stuff.. Etc, etc. None the less to get new trim around the fiberglass frame it would have been WAY too much, takes some hour just to get an inch bend in that trim. Not to mention its hard to find long strips for cheap. But your back seat is also very similar if not the same,. The stern has the two corner pieces (wood) that have a hole in em' for rope when docking. Even under your back seat are two metal bins,. However the front seat is obviously different,. I've taken off the front bow cover and the original Electrical gear shift, motor, and opened it up. The inside of mine is a grey blue, and black. Line-x sounds sweet!. I picked up some matting from Home Depot, very similar to the original stuff that was in. Seats are wood, most all screws are brass. Good luck with yours!. Its sure fun!. Specially when you get to drop em'.. Champaigne? Mine also needs to be inspected by WSP, thats taken 2 months to get in. Just a warning if yours needs inspected,. Theyre backed up here in Washington state. Again, good luck,. I'll be checkin back, maybe throw a couple photos of mine on here.

Very cool! It needs a 1958 Johnson or Evinrude 10 hp outboard on it. It might even handle the 18, but I'm not sure.

Once you're done, and have a year-matching engine, you gotta take it to an aomci meet near you. They'll love it.

It's a real collector's piece, but usable.

Really? Interesting, I didn't realize that,. Its funny I had the matching Johnson Evinrude motor. Even had it inspected and put in working order. However, the bugger smoked like the oil machines they are and I decided to part with it. I do still have the cover that mounts on the railings though. Great big thing, don't use it, but saved it and its parts. Not trying to take any threads over, but here are a few shots I took on my lunch hour. Like I said, took the front Bow cover off with electronic gear shift and left it open. The wood was too nice to cover up again, and I opened up that much more usable/sitable space.
