I bought points and condenser kit for motor and find included: felt (cam oiler?) and a small piece of paper. What is the paper used for? I have not yet obtained a manual. Novice with old motors. Thanks

I didn't get the felt with mine! But I did get the paper, it's for cleaning the points I believe.

Petrolhead: Thanks. I guess it would be a light burnish between the contact faces as a final touch? Great. Sorry you missed the felts. Come to think, I wonder if they need a drop of oil? Appreciate the advice.

Despite not getting the felt, I did get two little red capsules (like medicinal capsules) in my kit full of grease for the cam. I could have done with the felt, the piece of foam fitted in my motor had turned to a gooey mush, like glue!
