Gee, I would follow Derek's advice and take a compression test. If you have 60+ PSI on most of the cylinders, mix up a tank of 24::1 fuel, stick her in a large garbage can, fill it up and run the beast. Make sure your point gaps are correct, and you have spark. She will pull start if necessary.

Thanks for the support! I would love to be able to fire it up right now but i can't because i have the lower unit pulled off because i will be rebuilding that in due time. But i will at least take a compression test and if they all pass then i will proceed to the ignition, carb, lower unit. And so on
