Hello all:

I have recently acquired this boat, she needs work but I fell for it the minute I laid eyes on her. Very distinctive hull shape.

Anyway, the allmighty power of Google has let me down: I cannot find any trace of it whatsoever. I found the manufacturer website, and sent the owner an e-mail, but it's gone unanswered thus far. They are making a resurgence by re-releasing an updated version of their flagship model: the Jewel. Lots of those around, and info on them, but my model I guess was the Ford Sunliner of the Humber line up (quirky but good, and completely forgotten...).

I'd like to obtain whatever info I can on the boat: I am doing a restore, and I need a windshield and I'd love to source some replacement manufacturer decals for the stern sides that I will have to strip off in the restoration process.

This thread is a shot in the dark and maybe my last hope. I don't exactly "need" exacting info on it to get the restore done, but it would sure be nice. It's Canadian made, just like me, and I'm interested in the history.

I'll get a bunch of photos up asap. Any and all info will be greatly appreciated.

Mods, if I started this in the wrong spot, I apologize.

fiberglassics site might have someone with some knowledge of them. Seems to be quite a few of them around S. Ontario when i google. 3 or 4 for sale... looks like 2 versions... same hull but some have curved plexi windshield and some have a squared off windshield

I have been seeing this one on kijiji for quite some time , or another green one like it

The boat in the top pic is the very one I own. I was wary of how long it looked to have been aavailable with no buyers, but I kept going back to look because I like the unique hull shape. I also looked at the other design, I saw that ad too, but did not enjoy the square shield model as I felt the hard lines and added shoulder to make a level spot took away from the feel of the boat. I eventually went over to see it in person and watch it run.
It is a very nice ride and cuts water easily. It feels underpowered with the 40hp, but its no slouch. It'll do much better when I get the 60hp done and attached.

What is that site you mention? I am nowhere near new to boats, but very new to boat ownership.

nice boat!
I agree with you about the square windshield. In the early 70's, Grew was selling a lot of boats and I think everyone wanted the squared windshield to look like a Grew, but that hull looks way nicer with the curved windshield.
