Does anybody knows where can I get a new set of reeds, mine are sticking so I need them replaced, or the part number of the reeds.
Here on iboats they have reeds plate gasket only.

Aren't reed valves spring loaded to stay closed until the engine sucks them open to draw in the fuel and air? If they're stuck open then it will blow out the carbs and not run.

F_R this time I beg to differ, when I press with the finger on one you feel the sticky feeling before it gives way, it might be varnish built up but even after 2 cleanings the sticky feeling is still there, plus some of them are out of tolerance some stay more open than other, everybody told me that you can't bend them, and no thei are not spring loaded on my engine they are petal style not V style.
Anyways still where I can find them?

If it is varnished up, some carb cleaner should take care of it. Hanging open a small bit is not a defect. Messing with them and bending them or the stop is. Otherwise, I'm telling you that you don't need it, but it's your money. The part number for the complete leaf plate assembly is 377202. The leaf alone is 304708, and the leaf stop is 304709. Only the stop is listed as still available.

F_R I cave in , the reeds don't look bad at all besides that sticky feeling, I try to do the usual stupid thing and find reason or blame on parts for my poor idle and my short temper with this engine, I will reserve myself just on a new reeds gasket.
