1960 Sears (Elgin) Trailer

We just bought a 14' 1960 Elgin aluminum boat with trailer. The trailer suspension is missing. There are two round discs which appear to me there should be a spring connecting the two. One disc is bolted onto a vertical piece coming up from the axle while the second is bolted onto the beam carring the boat. The spring would be in a horizontal position if I am correct. Does this make sense and does anyone know here to get the parts?

Any luck finding parts? I have a Elgin 254-61500 and need new bushings.
