Believe that the last kits that I got that may not have been sierra had some different needle packing parts. Namely the washers. I recall using 2 fiber washers in the carb first followed by a nylon packing washer.Packing nut would press on the nylon and seal the fiber in.
There are no nylon washers in the kit. There are two barbed-like metal washers that are cupped in the kit that look to be the same size as the fiber packing.. Is this what I should be using? The sierra kit is 18-7043 and any net pix with parts show these metal washers. Let me know if anyone can give some direction. Ah, the fun of picking out 55 year old packing............
