No cracks and the gas is dripping from the carb mask, its not flowing out as much as before I did the overhaul, but is still drippong.

when you installed the new float, did you flip the top half of your carb upside down and make sure the float was resting just slightly higher on the side without the pin than level (16th of an inch)? The books say it should sit level with the carb, but keeping it a "hair" higher than level will guarantee no leakage... if the float is indeed your issue.

Another way to test the float and needle is to:

Remove your fuel line and empty the bowl of any fuel... then with the carb right side up blow air into the fuel line attachment, you should be able to hear the air flowing into the carb... Now, flip the carb upside down and blow again. The float should drop (or raise if you will) and close the fuel intake and you won't get any air through...

Is the OP possibly referring to the plastic "mesh" breather which also doubles as the HS needle linkage anchor?

In other words the choke end mouth of the carb...

My mesh is metal and yes that where the gas is dripping out of, not at the cottage, but I will check the float and try to send some pic's.
