I have a 1964 Johnson Meteor 90hp V4 model number V4ML-10R. The engine runs great. I just did a compression test and the good news is all cylinders tested the same plus or minus about 1 psi. The bad news is that the compression is only 37psi. Can I get by with replaceing the rings and head gaskets or will I need to do more? Also, does anyone know the part numbers for the rings? I also did a leak down test and it goes from 37 to 0 in about 4 seconds.
I also have a 1971 Evinrude 60hp Triumph that tested the same only with 26psi. Will rings and head gaskets take care of this one?
Thanks
Robert
