Glad to see you got the water intrusion problems taken care of .. She looks good sitting in the slip ! The H/T sure looks cool but not much headroom .. Finally got mine splashed !
Later SP..

Nice looking boat. Looks like you had a whole run of bad luck on it: she'll treat your well when all fixed up!

Adjusted the carbs yesterday and she idles a bit better. It won't die when idling in gear now, so I guess that's good.

It seems a travesty to put trim tabs on a classic like this, but it is SERIOUSLY unstable without them. Apparently all that water inside the hull last year gave it a lot of stability that we kind of wish we had back haha.

Beginning a new build-out project at work this week, so she'll probably stay in this state through the end of the season. I'll post back when the next round of work begins!

How is she unstable ? The only thing going on with mine is when there is extra weight in the back it will start to porpoise a little . That's while sitting in the rear jump seats . Move slightly forward and it stops . I plan on adding a little weight up in the bow to help out . It took a little getting used to the way it would dig or lean into corners but that's just the way the hull was designed .

We are on the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay... both tidal and have TONS of other boat traffic. There is almost always a 1 foot chop, plus wakes, and it can get to 2-3 feet on busy weekends. This boat doesn't take wakes well, and like you said it does porpoise quite a bit. Turning is quite tricky too, as you said it digs in a lot.

Will report back on how the tabs turn out.
