Haha...glad I'm not the only one that struggles with what to call that thing. I see it called either a splash rail, chine (integrated)...I prefer single syllables :lol:

Windshield is also ready to go! I made the transom board and put a coat of spar on it. No pics --- to be honest I am kinda tuckered out now... also moved a 70 hp to my Dad's place for him to work on in the fall.

So... it's now wait time... I'm thinking that by Wed it should be good to go for me to put the all the bits back on and get it ready for the motor. I will pick that up likely next week pending scheduling. I will be bringing the trailer down next week and will paint it and then get the boat on it ready to go for August delivery!

Funny thing is that my daughter is completely in love with this little boat... she was in tears over letting it go!! The Falcon is ready for work next ---- gonna give the cedar bow and gunwales a go --- I don't think my daughter will accept anything worse!!

I agree, that steering wheel doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the boats classic look.

Um, yeah, the 'steering wheel made the Jupiter'.... :facepalm:

The rest of the great work had a bit to do with it, but I agree, nice wheel:

Apparently, the 1st mate thinks it a capable choice :watermelon:

Gonna get the bits on tomorrow am when it is a bit cooler...

List of stuff to do:

1. Remaining bits on (bow light, 2 stern corner caps, windshield)
2. Transom board on
3. Trailer painted
4. Boat on trailer
5. Motor on boat and hooked up

I think that's it! Wow... might a forgotten something... but at least the list is short enough to type in 2 minutes!
