hello all , i've got a 1965 evinrude 9.5 hp , model number 9522 c . what does the "c" stand for ?.thanks for any help .

Nothing...Just a model run letter that only the factory would use...

It stands for a manufacturing run within the model year.

simple enough ! thank guys . one more question , the powerhead sets really low ? kinda like a compact model or something ? its a short lower unit (15 " ? ) also .

Powerhead is normal size (whatever that means) it just sits waaaay down in the housing compared to it's more modern counterparts. It's a pain to get out if you need to.

Yes I guess you would call it a compact model and it is for a 15 inch transom./
