I found an old thread that said that motor was supossed to be that way (tilt in forward only) so that the motor doesnt move forward when pulling to start. I really dont see that being an issue, and that was the only one saying that so im not sure if thats correct. Most others say in both forward and neutral. It doesnt seem right to only tilt in forward since when you stop or dock the boat you put in neutral. It really threw me off this weekend because i was trying to tilt in neutral and thought something was jamed. I since adjusted the cable and it now tilts in forward and neutral, but not reverse. When i first checked the cable and latch i found that when in neutral the latch did move but was just barely touching the bar preventing tilt. A slight adjustment was all it took. I also tightened the tension bolt so it does not tilt as freely. I'l have to see how it is next time i take it out..
