Hello!

Ok i'm in the process to order 6 rings, and install.

Are there any other special tools that I will need aside from the ring installer?

Is the installer the one that slides over the pistons so that it allows you to tap the piston into the cyl, and will i need the tool what spreads the rings apart as well?

I looks like I will need to disconnect the piston and rod from the crank for easier installation. What is the best way to re-torch the 2 nuts, and there values?

Should I prep the cyl walls as well?

Thanks and sorry for all the questions in this post.

I just installed them on a 20HP 2 cylinder. I just used my fingers to mash in the ring as it enters but you have to MAKE SURE that the PIN is in the GAP on each ring as it enters the cylinder, then check for "springback" with a screwdriver after they are in on each ring through the exaust or intake side. Worked good for me:)

That won't work for me as I will have to put the piston through the bottom up.

Yep, that's how I did mine, from the inside, no head. It's easy as
long as you have long skinny fingers.
