My prop pin is missing, what metal is the pin made of? I have read Stainless, not sure how SS could break if the prop hit something. Where could I buy one as this is an old motor? The prop is open at the back, should it have a cone enclosure?

Welcome,
Any well established Evinrude/Johnson dealer should have a pin.
Not sure what you mean open at the back?Maybe a picture. You will have to use a picture site.By the way Many routine parts are available for your motor right here at iboats, any OMC,BRP dealers and even NAPA auto parts. Not to mention dozens of venders on the net.

to royal0014. Thanks for the parts diagram. Looks like I am missing the thrust bushing, drive pin, cotter pin, and the prop nut. I take it the cotter pin is what holds the nut on as ther are no threads on the output shaft, is that correct?

My motor is a RDS-28B as opposed to the RK if that matters. Seems like the only difference is the electric shift vs the manual shift.
