Even when using SE, you still use primer over it. Can't rush it thought and following proper prep and technique is critical. Not busting your chops, just wanting to make sure we're all on the same page. A lot of people read these posts and will be in the future and they will want to know the issues and the solutions. These discussions will help them too!!!:D

I have no doubt, if followed correctly your techniques will yield a quality paint job..I believe this route to be a great alternative to spending lots of money on other systems which would require the same amount of prep work..I believe this system can produce top notch paint jobs...

Well after sitting for the last couple weeks, paint had hardened up pretty well. Overall, I am feeling much better about the outcome. The boat is coming together nice. The floors have been cut out and braced with 2x2's. Glued, screwed and epoxied. Very solid. Installing 2" and 3/4" foam to fit between bottom of floor and hull, tight as possible... Will be adding 2"x2" aluminum angle on bench supports to hold floor in...getting ready to wire...thinking about adding boxes on sides between benches for cubbies and place for switch panel, made out of 1/4 inch or close to it epoxied and carpeted. Also going to add flap door from back bench to transom to cover up battery, gas tank area....Trying to decide on using one battery or two. Separate one for trolling? Really staying concerned over weight. If not needed I will try to avoid..

Unfortunately PO installed outer transom about an inch to the right of center. Instead of drilling two new holes through hull, I just used the original holes and then centered the outer transom and two upper bolts on the higher transom in there proper place. Bolts are a little off, but oh well I can live with it...
