my 1967 9.5 Johnson starts and idles great, but when you open her up at about half speed she wines up like the prop is slipping. I checked the drive pin inside the prop and that's good.
Sounds like the rubber hub in the prop is slipping.------Perhaps mark the hub and the outer part.------Put the motor through its paces and see if marks have moved.--Try another prop !
