1967 Johnson 6hp seals

I'd like to replace the seals in the lower unit on my 1967 Johnson 6hp. Can you tell me how to replace the shift rod seal? It looks like I need some sort of puller or special tool as the seal is inside a brass housing/bushing.

You have to remove the bushing.
Split your gear case and remove shift rod.

Thread the top half of your bushing, remove tap.
Insert bolt in the threaded portion.
Drive out with punch.

Alternatively you can buy the special bushing removal and insaller tools, aprox $30 each.
