I replaced the water pump on a 1967 Merc, 9.8hp, model 110. I can't see any water coming out but I'm not sure where it is suppose to come out. Can any one tell me?<br /><br />Thanks
on my 1970 110 9.8 there is a small tube that comes off the engine and out the left side of the cover.( left as you look at it from the boat) mine is screwed in place but if that screw was gone it would come out of the cover and down the lower unit. hope that helps<br />jdk2
thanks for the responses. I have a 1971 Merc that has the hose coming from the top of the motor to the left side. This 69 merc has a plug (screw) in it's place. Where is this flush plug located?<br /><br />Gary
Hi again<br /><br />I could not see where the water comes out next to the flush plug or see it come down the back of the lower unit. I removed the plug on top of the motor and the water comes gushing out. With this plug in place, am I supoose to see the water come out or does it drain down the inside of the lower unit? <br /><br />Thanks
