1967 Mercury 60

[NWI Angler]

I was just given this 6 hp motor, but it has a problem staying running.

I was told that this motor originally had a pressurized fuel tank? The motor runs for a few minutes then stops. The fuel line has a ball on it, if it is pumped the engine continues to run?

Any help would be appreciated as I do not have the manual for this motor.

if you pump and it runs, sounds like fuel pump. also change the impeller. before you burn it up.
