Sure there are. But there are so many similarities and differences that a blanket answer is impossible. For instance, a forward gear may fit a multitude of models, but a 33 hp piston won't fit a 40. But the connecting rod would, assuming same year. And that brings up another thing, there are many yearly engineering changes. For instance a 1963 40hp may be very similar to a 1966 but have different bearings. Not saying that they do, but they might.
The only way to determine interchangeability is to go to the parts lists and compare numbers for the part in question.
