Me personally, I would prolly vote for D-all of the above...:D:facepalm:

Took the tin out to clean my garage out some. Noticed that I need to paint my hood. Its too shiny ( something I thought I would never say), doesnt just fit the scheme.

MAH012094.jpg

So im gonna paint it but leave some shinyness. Windshield Im thinking maybe using the same but modified to look a little slimmer. Will see.

I think it's been mentioned before, but I can't be sure so:

If you can accurately trim the AL windshield channel, a glass shop could probably cut both side panes down to allow for a decent sized center piece. Rather then making the center section any smaller so you can move the sides inboard some & get a better fit to the new rig...

Looks great!

Awesome job Azlo, won't be long now! Looking at that last picture, I was wondering if one of those vents should be faceing forward to bring fresh air into the engine compartment while the boat is under way?? Maybe not? just wondering.. Keep up the great work!!

Yeah jasoutside, almost 3 years in the making. Man o man.

Did I read that Azlo said it was too shiny? I better clean my glasses. She does look good in the sun.

LOL, yeah I know man. But after long consideration i think it would be best to paint it white, but if I dont like it I can just flip it over where the shiny is,,,eh eh.

Your right 72mtwain, u need an exhaust and intake. I have forgoten about those. I was suppose to order another set for intakes. Thats why u see the holes on the shoulders. Gonna go ahead and do that now.

White bow sounds good, w/ a matching blue 'shelby cobra' stripe:D. Or maybe just a little bright & shiny left down the middle.....

The windshield doesn't look like it has any tint what so ever, it isn't regular window pane glass is it? I hope not..... A replacement panel on a Carver once, fortunately cracked & broke running in heavy seas. A little window tint would look good on her too.....

Yep, fresh air is always good to the long term health of any motor. Boats or people..... Something that is NOT lost on us toxic poly using 'glassers.....

3 years... thats dedication dude, dedication. Well done. I bet splashing it will be a fantastic moment. Quickly followed by turning it over & getting under way for the 1st time!

I am not suggesting that you attempt to, but I have seen several people cut laminated safety glass (if your windshield is plate, then it's fairly easy to cut w/ the right cutter) themselves. The same as described at the end of this article:

Cutting laminated safety glass

I would probably consider it on a 'simple' flat laminated panel. Hot rodders apparently do it @curved windshield glass too, to fit on a newly chopped top.... Yikes, no thanks.....

Anyway, ^^^ this was in there somewhere when I posted last night, but I had to turn off the computer & iBoats for it to perk it's way to the surface in my mind:facepalm:.

Of course tempered glass is cut & drilled before tempering, so it is uncuttable...... Maybe you can find a tempering mark in the corners of the glass. So you may just need 3 new pieces of glass, cut to fit....

Hope it helps, & you know we want to see a video if you do cut laminated glass yourself!;)

Yep its tempered, so gonna look into plexiglass & maybe make my own winshield frame, but I have to consider the time I want to launch. I want to launch in spring.

Tear a page out of Jas' book: Launch sans windshield. Certainly for the 1st float test. if you can stand it run w/out until you get a better fit from this one, or another.

Anyway, nice lights!

Nice Lights...
But you really need a prop...I think?!?!...:facepalm:...just sayin...

BTW, If you decide on a plexiglas windshield, use lexan instead...not only is it more expensive, but it is bullet proof...and never use any thing more than a soft cotton cloth with a very mild detergent to clean it, or it will scratch...you can also have it custom bent to almost whatever shape you want, if you want a curved windshield...

my .005...:D
