Looks great Azlo, the white really cleans it up.:D

Did you have any adhesive to remove from the interior sides from vinyl glue or anything?

Mine has a real mess of glue remnant that I may need to get rid of prior to painting.

Yeah Huron Angler, there was a lot of glue. I took most of it off with a grinder wire brush. I took about 20 mins for one side. I realsied that I didnt have to take all of it off since this will be covered. I dont know whether to use truck lining or vinyl upholstery like some of the original startctrafts.

Man I'm digging all the alum support work. Do you do contract work? I'll send you my supports to knocked off in alum :)

I've epoxied the two 3/4 inch sheets together and am ready to cut it it to shape and cut the outdrive hole. Is it just a 1/2 piece that needs to be added to get to 2" or so. I'm getting closer to catching up with you :)

My speedo is just the old fashioned type that connects to the sender off the back of the transom. My Garmin Nuvi from the car can probably get me more accurate speeds but I'll hook up the old one anyway.

Thanks Sprintst , I think im gonna leave out the speedo gauge and save some $. But then again that speedo gauge would balance my dash. Decisions decisions.

At some point I'm going to buy a good fish finder/gps combo that you can just push a button to find water temp, speed, view a map of the lake, etc.

I'll see if I can just get it floating first :)

The old fashioned speedo will have to do for now. I'll remount the speedo sender on a piece of starboard and screww that to my transom with some 5200 as well. I'm trying to limit the screw holes as well.

If you don't have one, don't get one. Seriously. They are MUCH more trouble than they're worth. I will probably reinstall mine as I already have it and all the associated paraphernalia and the pre-existing holes in the transom. If I were you, no way would I bother.

I dont know if u guys know this ,,but there is an IPHONE APP for that!!!!
It costs 2.99$ for it to turn you i phone into gps!! What the Heck. It tells you how fast your going and what route to best take. The only reason i know is because a buddy of mine at work has it.

It is a throwback to the old days. It's like having a swiss movement watch that is overly complicated and inaccurate. There sure was a lot of work and art that went into them but a quartz movement is way more accurate.

I have the holes already so I'm probably going to go the same route for now as well.

I have both of the cross members made but installing was another story. Starting with the front one. I had to do a lot cutting, bending & cussing to get it set in the center & flat and leveled.

Will install the second one tomorrow (the dash itself) & see if i can install the the rest of the braces.

I had to disassemble the front dash as didnt fit right but after fixing it fit in better than the front.

I think next weekend I will finish the middle braces & start on the transom braces.
