Had the pleasure of taking a cruise in a friends meticulously restored '68 Lyman. Absolutely amazing resotration of a classic wood craft. 3 year project. Twin 327s, velvet drives, thru hull.

Only sign of today's tech is the twin station chartplotter and the digital tachs.

There really is not much better than a classic boat either kept in, or restored to Bristol condition!

Beautiful!

He didn't have the photo album but they took it down to the hull. Each piece removed, sent out to be dipped, and re-finished with many coats of clear ( he told me how many but I can't remember). Complete rebuild on both 327s. The drives were still good. Amazing at how much work it took to captain. Single rudder with 60 degrees of throw.

I didn't ask how much he has in it...I don't want to know.

Well we never lifted the engine covers. Maybe next time. He put the digital tachs on so he could synch the engine rpms. Nice note when both are near the same.
