I have a question....I just bought what I believe is a '69 25hp Johnson. It has electric start and is built in Peterborough, ON. However, mine is not dark green in colour but what nymarine.ca refers to as "Arctic white". If yours is a '69 (River Runner) and mine is a '69 (mine has a model number FD-17M on the plate which searches up as a 1963 10hp, so someone has changed the mounting bracket) why are they different colours? Did the Canadian and American plants offer different colours for the same year, same hp outboard?
