I am doing some work on this Starcraft before the boating season. I am planning to replace the seats, becuase I think the original ones for from 1969 and they were falling apart. I am now looking at the plywood flooring. It seems to be in pretty good shape, no soft spots or anything. Just some chipped paint. I am debating on whether to replace the floor or just sand the exising on down and paint over it. Any suggestions? The boating season up here in vermont is only 3-4 months.

I would drill a few core sample holes in the floor. If the wood is good and dry I would just repaint it.

Take your plywood up and look at the bottom side, if it still looks good put it back down and paint it. Inspect your floatation foam and clean your bilge while you have the decking up, it's probably due.
