1970 OMC 120 hp ?????????

Have the oppurtunity to buy a Crestliner 19' 1970 Norseman Runabout aluminum boat with a original 120 hp omc inboard.....boat is all original and in nice shape....my concerns are the omc inboard how well are these engines??? I"am really concerned about parts being available for it at 42 yrs old engine...would greatly appreciate any and all info and opinions on this boat (Engine)....it's definitely a great looking boat! Thanks for any help.. .

120hp in a heavy old 19 footer? way underpowered.
the drive is obsolete with several "no longer available" parts
you only have 1 chance to buy the right boat - don't get stuck with that one.
For the best parts availability and lowest cost of ownership in an older boat, get a Mercruiser Alpha drive behind a Chevy V6 or small block Chevy V8

Howard, you missed the Aluminum Part.. light boat..

anyway, yea, firstimer I wouldnt be lookin at something that old, but I love Alum boats..

Is it a TRUE Inboard our is it and Inboard/Outboard also called a Sterndrive ? There is a difference.

there are a LOT of NLA parts as mentioned.
