No pictures from last night, but I took all the rollers off the trailer. I picked up 2 2x6 (8') to make bunks out of, but I'll need to fab up some brackets to weld on for them tomorrow. (The white has had exactly 7 days to harden since the last coat went on)

I'm hoping to have the boat lowered on the trailer tomorrow (after squeezing in some fishing in the morining), so I can start on the inside of the boat next week.

you are so lucky to have that inside. Makes it a whole new ballgame. I had to go thru. 60 ft of mud constantly just to get things to the rebuild and work to do in my small workshop.

Absolutely...I definately would not be able to get things done very quickly with this lovely Northwest weather we are always having, if it were outside.

Brackets for mounting the bunks. They don't look like much, but they took much longer to build that I thought they would (common theme)

Bunks are wrapped and ready to go.

Monday I'll weld on the brackets and get the boat flipped back over on it, so I can get started on the inside.

Trailer bunks installed. The rest of the trailer restoration will have to wait until the interior paint is finished, as I need it on the trailer to do it.

Funny thing is, we only used it the first time. The hull doesn't weigh that much, it's just awkward. We've moved it every other time by hand now.

Boat has to be complete by Memorial Day to take my father in law sturgeon fishing...so I've got my work cut out for me.

Funny thing is, we only used it the first time. The hull doesn't weigh that much, it's just awkward. We've moved it every other time by hand now.

Boat has to be complete by Memorial Day to take my father in law sturgeon fishing...so I've got my work cut out for me.

Well I think it would take more than a couple of hands to move the 22 ft islander though. That little tractor would be the cats meow for something like that.

If nothing else...if my 16' is awkward...yours would be super awkward to remove. (especially if you already installed the motor)

Your right though...tractor would definitely be handy for picking up your boat.

1st coat of the Rusto Silver Hammered paint. At the edge of the fan it left streaks, but I think they'll level out as the pic was taken less than 5 minutes after I stopped spraying. The second coat has to go on within 4 hrs, so we'll see if it does the same thing.

There are still some adhesive pieces stuck in the paint, and I'm going to wish later that I had done a better job of cleaning out this area. (about the time that I get sick of it...I'll roll bedliner on it)

Second coat on and done. Tomorrow night I'll prime the top of the boat and paint it Friday. (sooooo close to being done with paint...I can't wait)

The consoles will be the same color, but I'll paint them before installing them.

In the event that anyone else in the future wishes to spray this stuff...be very careful about how thick it goes on. The initial coat has to be VERY light (mine was a little too thick), because it'll run after you think you are in the clear. The second coat adheres to itself much better than the substrate/primer/previous paint.
