I acquired a 1971 60 hp triumph that I am trying to bring back to life. It is running and I am following a manual for adjustments. The manual says "move the distributor base and throttle lever to the full throttle position against their stops. the carburetor throttle shaft MUST also be against its full throttle stop."
I think I followed the directions right, but I'm not 100% sure. Seems strange that the distributor base would hit the WOT stop before the throttle cam has begun to open the carbs. Anyone done this before?
